Why This Podcast
We started Exposing the Hidden Reality because too many women carry the weight of expectations, bias, and unspoken rules about leadership and life. We see it everyday and not just in the women we serve. We see it in the faces and bodies of our friends, family and neighbors.
This isn’t about adding one more “how-to” guide to your list. It’s about pulling back the curtain on the stories and systems that shape us—and creating space for women to get real, breathe deeply, and rise together.
Every episode is part professional insight, part soulful conversation, and part “wait—did they just say that?” Because we believe change doesn’t happen in whispers. It happens when we name what’s hidden, reclaim what’s ours, and do it in community.

About Us
"We Should Go LIVE Together..."
It all began the day Sandra heard Annette give a presentation about why women sometimes choose to stay in careers that aren't fulfilling. Annette shared that they compromise a part of themselves for the sake of family, caregiving or a multitude of other reasons.
It was one of those Light-Bulb moments! The "AHA" of a spark that ignited an idea. Casually, after the presentation, Sandra invited Annette to "go live" on LinkedIn . When it was over, they both looked at each other like, "Wait... that was actually good."
Sandra: "We should do that again!"
Annette: "Sure, when?"
Sandra: "We should do this every week."
Annette: "Yes. Let's DO IT."
What started as "let's try this once" became a weekly commitment, then a community, then a full-blown podcast with guests, all while we're still running our own coaching businesses and building a networking community right here in Cleveland.
Yep! We do this ourselves.
No production crew.
No fancy setup.
Just two women, their laptops, and a refusal to let "busy" get in the way of what matters.
But here's the thing: we realized we were onto something real. The conversations women were having in parking lots, over texts, over wine - the ones about bias and expectations and what it really costs to show up as ourselves - those conversations needed to happen out loud. So we decided to make space for it.
To go live.
To let people in.
To invite other women to share their stories.
Five seasons later? We're still here. Still going live. Still saying the things that need to be said. Still figuring it out as we go.
